Prius Plug-In Performance
The Toyota Prius Plug-In is available in two trim levels-Hybrid and Hybrid Advanced-to fit every driver's needs and budget. A 1.8L 16-Valve VVT-I engine with an electronically controlled ECVT transmission comes standard on all trims. This pairing provides an astounding 87 electric/49 hybrid mode MPG. Yes, you read that right- 87. By combining an extended all-electric mode with proven hybrid technology, it can get you up to 475 miles before your next fill-up. You also get the convenience of plug-in charging with rapid recharge times. You may soon forget what a gas station looks like. | |  |
Prius Plug-In Standard Options and Features
The Toyota Prius Plug-In comes standard with such features as a rear spoiler with LED center high-mount stop lamp, intermittent rear window wiper, color-keyed heated power outside mirrors with folding feature, rear window defogger with timer and more. Every Prius Plug-In also comes with an automatic climate control system with air filter to keep everyone comfy. The Hybrid features projector-beam halogen headlamps and 15" 5-spoke alloy wheels, whereas the Advance trim sports LED headlamps with auto level control and headlamp cleaners and integrated fog lamps.
The Hybrid gets a 6.1" touchscreen audio system with integrated back-up camera that is capable of playing AM/FM radio, CD's or an iPod/MP3 player via the auxiliary input and USB port. However, the Advanced gets an upgraded Entune audio system that adds SiriusXM, text-to-speech with programmed and customizable text response, and navigation. Bluetooth hands-free calling, phone book access and music streaming is standard on all trims, adding even further convenience. You'll also be able to access all of the various convenience features via the tilt/telescopic steering wheel with audio, climate and Bluetooth controls and a Multi-Information Display. Cruise Control comes standard, but the Advanced has an optional Dynamic Radar Cruise Control that automatically adjusts your speed based on the car in front of you. The Hybrid Advanced gets equipped a premium navigation system, which gets an upgraded 7" touch-screen with split-screen capability, eight JBL GreenEdge speakers with amplifier and HD Radio with iTunes tagging. It also features Entune, a technology that combines Bing, Pandora and more internet applications to provide movie times, restaurant reviews, and real-time info on weather, traffic, fuel prices, sports scores and stocks. With Entune, drivers are never more than a few voice commands away from anything they need. Cruise Control comes standard, but the Advanced comes with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control that automatically adjusts your speed based on the car in front of you. |

The Toyota Prius Plug-In comes standard with the Star Safety System, including Enhanced Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) and Smart Stop Technology (SST). At speeds greater than five miles per hour, when the accelerator is depressed first and the brakes are then applied firmly for longer than one-half second, Smart Stop Technology is designed to help the driver bring the vehicle to a complete stop. All Prius Plug-Ins also come with driver and front-passenger Advanced Airbag System; driver and front passenger seat-mounted side airbags, driver knee airbag and all-row Roll-sensing Side Curtain Airbags; driver and, front-passenger active headrests and seatbelt warning sensors; 3-point seatbelts for all seating positions; Tire Pressure Monitor System; Hill Start Assist Control; and a bevy of other standard safety features.

The Prius Plug-in's lithium-ion battery is lightweight and compact. So you get useful EV power and driving range without the costs of an electric-only EV battery, while maintaining plenty of cargo space and seating for five. Plus, with only three hour full-charge time from a standard 120V household outlet, you'll never be more than an extension cord away from "filling up."
